This month's challenge is "In the Shadows" This is one of the paintings I did for the competition. I wanted it to be a very primitive painting, but the more I painted, the more detail I wanted to see.

This is an illustration that I have been thinking about and planning for a long time. I finally got the illustration board and sketched it out. I am pleased with the overall feel of the scene.

This is a break from the norm for me, but it has been running around in my head for a while so I finally decided to paint it. I think the great looming distorted house looming threateningly above the girl, shows the dread that the girl is feeling. I think we have all felt this way at times.
