The earthquake in Haiti on January 12, 2010 was devastating. I watched in horror, hoping that many of the people could be saved from the destruction. In response, this ACEO was painted and the proceeds donated to the Red Cross for the Haitian Relief Fund.

This week must be ACEO week for me. Yesterday I decided to play around with wild looking moons. One thing I found out is although the paintings are small, they are as complex as larger paintings. However, they are fun to do so I worked on a few of them.

While we were roaming around in the mountains we were lucky enough to catch a train as it went across a trestle.

This was the view beneath the tree canopy on Roan Mountain. The moss covered rocks were in stark contrast to the icy laden tree branches. Wow, was it cold!

This is another painting inspired by our trip to the Roan last Sunday. The frost on the trees was amazing. The frost is actually known as "Rime". By the time we left the area I felt that my eyeballs were beging to freeze.
