This is a painting that I have been thinking about doing for a long time. It was done from a photograph that was taken at my brother's home on the creek on Edisto Island. I just loved the colors and the effect that I was able to achieve of the sunset.

The past week I have been visiting my son in Dallas. The view from his window looking out at downtown Dallas was intriguing. This was a quick little study done at sunset.

The long shadows cast by the trees across the field in late afternoon were a challenge and fun to work out.
